Ready to Drive Real Change in Civil Infrastructure?Tenterfield Shire Council is looking for a full-time Plant Operator based in Tenterfield, NSW. The position plays a key role in delivering high-quality road construction and maintenance across the Council area. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Operating and maintaining Council Water Carts and other road plant and machineryAssisting with road construction, maintenance and general labouring tasksPerforming daily user maintenance checks of equipment, including small plantInstalling road signs, guideposts, and erosion control measuresConducting traffic control as requiredMaintaining accurate records using tablet/iPad systemsCommunicating effectively with the public and internal teamsEnsuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard Is This You?To qualify, you will need a Certificate II in Civil Construction (or equivalent) and a Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence. A minimum of 2 years experience in road construction and maintenance operations is strongly preferred. Additionally, the following skills, background and checks will be highly valued:Certificate III in Civil Construction (or willingness to obtain – support provided)Safework NSW Traffic Controller qualificationGeneral Construction (White) CardCertificate of Competency for the type of plant to be operatedFirst Aid Certificate As our ideal candidate, you will bring reliability, strong time management skills, and the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
