Platform Engineer

** PLS READ****This is a Hybrid role that can based out of SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE**The D365 and Azure Platform Engineer is responsible for protecting and enabling our customers core enterprise technology platforms. The role owns the secure, consistent and efficient operation of platforms and environments throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they provide a robust, high-performing foundation for the organisation’s digital ecosystem.Through security-by-design, automation and proactive monitoring, the position reduces operational risk, safeguards sensitive data and supports compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. In addition to maintaining operational integrity, the role actively contributes to optimisation, governance and cost effectiveness, helping deliver scalable, trusted and sustainable technology services.In doing so, the DevSecOps-focused Platform Engineer enhances digital resilience, supports innovation and underpins the successful delivery of current and future enterprise initiatives.Key responsibilitiesManage and govern enterprise platforms and environments (Dynamics 365, .NET applications, SharePoint, proprietary platforms and associated Azure services), ensuring stability, consistency and controlled changeConfigure and continuously improve Dynamics 365 applications (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance & Operations) so they align with business processes and evolving organisational needsMaintain secure, resilient and scalable integrations across enterprise platforms (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, .NET and proprietary systems)Oversee governance and configuration of Azure services (Data Factory, API Management, Synapse) to ensure compliant, reliable data flows that support business reporting and analyticsDesign, build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines across enterprise platforms using Azure DevOps and related toolsets, enabling repeatable, secure and dependable deployments of applications, services and infrastructureProvide advanced technical support and act as the escalation point for complex platform, integration and environment issuesEmbed DevSecOps practices into day-to-day operations, ensuring security is consistently applied across all platforms and environmentsActively monitor platform performance, availability and reliability to ensure services meet agreed SLAs and stakeholder expectationsImplement and maintain logging, monitoring and alerting frameworks across applications, integrations and environments to provide real-time operational visibilitySkills and experienceProven experience administering and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environments across development, test and productionDemonstrated capability in designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ALM processes and automated deployments in enterprise settingsStrong understanding of DevSecOps concepts, including identity and access management, encryption, monitoring and vulnerability managementExperience configuring and managing integrations using Azure services such as Data Factory, API Management, Synapse and Service BusHands-on experience with observability, logging, monitoring and cost optimisation for Azure-hosted platformsFamiliarity with data protection requirements and security standards (e.g. APPs, Essential Eight, ISO 27001)Advanced troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and operational issuesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teamsAbility to translate complex technical matters into clear, business-focused language for non-technical stakeholders, supporting informed executive decision-makingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline
