This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our Project Management Office (PMO) with project delivery, data analysis, and performance reporting across a diverse portfolio of engineering and manufacturing programmes.You'll provide vital support to Project and Programme Managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As you grow in the role, you'll take ownership of data-driven insights, process improvements, and governance initiatives that help drive successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Support the PMO and Project Managers with financial analysis, performance tracking, and project reportingCollate and analyse live project data to inform decision-making and provide monthly reporting to the wider businessSet objectives, budgets, and baselines within the company's ERP system for live projectsImplement and manage project KPIs to improve governance, documentation standards, and reporting consistencyIdentify areas for continuous improvement and present data-driven recommendations to enhance project performanceMaintain project risks, issues, and lessons learned registers; support resource and dependency managementIdentify critical paths and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain project viabilitySupport project closure activities and documentationRequirementsAbout You:You're proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a passion for using data and process excellence to improve project outcomes. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams and are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience in project planning, coordination, or management within engineering, manufacturing, or defence environmentsWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP systems or planning tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6Experience managing risk registers, lessons learned, and performance KPIsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)Excellent communication and organisational skills, with attention to detailAbility to interpret data, identify trends, and present findings clearlySelf-motivated, with the ability to work independently under general supervisionDesirable SkillsExperience in defence, naval, or other regulated project environmentsAwareness of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and metricsProfessional certification such as APMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalentExperience with ERP systems (preferably IFS) and analytics tools such as QlikView or Power BIKnowledge of Agile project management methodologiesQualificationsEssential: City & Guilds, Scotvec, Degree, or equivalent qualificationDesirable: APMQ or equivalent project management certificationBenefitsYour future And What We Offer:Flexible Working: Choose a 4- or 5-day week with flexible hours (07:00-19:00, core hours 09:30-15:30)Career Development: Ongoing training and clear pathways to senior rolesWellbeing Support: Access to our wellbeing programme, Employee Assistance Programme, and onsite nurseOnsite Facilities: Free parking, canteen, and a supportive L&D team environment
