Poling lorry driver

About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Poling Lorry Driver to join our telecoms construction team. The role involves supporting fibre network deployment projects — transporting and erecting telegraph poles as part of the overhead cabling operations.You will work closely with the poling crew and site supervisors to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works according to project requirements and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive and operate a poling lorry for delivery and installation of polesLoad, transport, and erect wooden and concrete poles in designated areasCarry out pole swaps, recoveries, and reinstatements where requiredEnsure all lifting and driving operations are performed safely and in line with HSA and company proceduresComplete daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate work recordsSupport the ground crew when requiredRequirementsValid C or CE licenseSafe Pass and Manual Handling certificates, SLG is a big plusExperience with pole erection or utilities / telecoms / Telecom works preferredAbility to work as part of a small, focused teamGood understanding of health & safety on siteFlexibility to travel to different sites when requiredWhat We OfferPrice Work Contract – paid per task / completed poleConsistent workload across major telecom infrastructure projectsLong-term collaboration opportunities for reliable and professional operatorsSupportive and safety-focused team environment
