KSM IndustriesGermantown, WIPowder PainterJOB DUTIES:Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, conveyor systems, wash systems, curing ovens, to efficiently coat metal productsVisually inspect parts and prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, masking and applying appropriate pre-treatment chemicalsPerform quality inspections before, during and after coating application to ensure adherence to specifications and standards, this includes proper paint application and thickness by using mil-gauge testing equipmentAdjust equipment settings as needed to achieve desired coating thickness, texture and color consistencyMonitor and troubleshoot any equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to keep powder coating line running smoothlyWork collaboratively with team members to prioritize tasks, meet production deadlines and maximize efficiencyAdhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environmentMaintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of coatings, tools and equipmentPerform related work as assigned, e.g. sanding, cleaning, hanging parts on conveyor, maskingMaintain department records as directedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Proven experience working as a powder painter in a manufacturing or industrial settingStrong understanding of powder coating techniques, equipment operation and industry best practicesAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructionsKnowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements for working with powders and chemicalsEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentFlexibility to work on different shifts and schedules to support production requirementsStrong attention to details and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processesThis job description outlines the key responsibilities for the position of powder painter, emphasizing the importance of precision, safety and teamwork in achieving successful powder coating applications.We Make it EasyFounded in 1901, MRA is a nonprofit employer association that serves more than 4,000 employers, covering more than one million employees.As one of the largest employer associations in the nation, MRA helps its member organizations thrive by offering the most comprehensive assortment of HR services, information, education, and resources to help build successful workplaces and a powerful workforce.We partner with these companies working directly with their HR department and leadership to hire their talent.
