Power BI Developer

Power BI Developer As a Power BI developer you will play a key role in our Data & BI capability, working closely with customers and data engineers to create solutions that deliver real value and insight to our clients. You will engage in business analysis to understand client requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. Leveraging your problem-solving abilities and technical expertise, you will develop and maintain Power BI datasets, reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for our teams and clients. Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards and wider infrastructure to provide actionable insights internally and for our clients.Utilise Power Query, Power BI pipelines and Microsoft Fabric to consume and transform raw information from a variety of structured, semi-structured, and non-structured sources.Carry out data modelling within Power Query and Power BI to create, or restructure, existing, data structures that are efficient and optimised to support reporting and analytics needs.Utilise DAX to provide robust accurate calculations and functions for use within reports.Analyse raw customer data and engage in business analysis to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide consultancy and Power BI training support to clients.Adhere to Power BI best practice, writing and documenting maintainable code that others are easily able to understand.Define and document solutions, ensuring clarity and alignment with client expectations.Provide expertise and guidance to colleagues within Data & BI and the wider organisation.Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices, staying abreast of industry trends, best practice, and new features within Microsoft Fabric and the wider Business Intelligence networks to keep Zenzero’s offering up to date.Technical Skills:Designing and Developing Power BI reports with a basic understanding of best practice and different visualisation techniques.Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data visualisation.Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.A solid understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices particularly those centred around a Star Schema. Experience with data integration and ETL processes. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure and Microsoft Entra.Migrating data from client’s legacy systems to Azure.Ability to clearly document solutions.Some experience in Trouble shooting poor performing data models and the common steps used to identify and fix.
