THE POSITIONAre you an experienced Information Technology (IT) professional, looking for an exciting opportunity? The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) is eager to welcome a Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Product Manager to the team. In this vital role, you will provide leadership in defining and enabling business needs as it relates to project portfolio management, program management, or agile management in the Commonwealth’s enterprise PPM tool. Take your career to the next level within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!In this role, the selected individual works closely with executive leadership, PMOs, and project portfolio managers to help define and deliver the PPM tool roadmap.DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs one of the PPM Product Managers, you will help configure/develop portfolio, program, or agile management processes within the enterprise PPM tool. Work includes piloting the rollout of the above capabilities and then supporting portfolio managers and PMOs to replicate the process across the enterprise.You will leverage prior experience, a strong understanding of IT system lifecycles, and project, program, and portfolio management expertise to anticipate and address process and tool needs. Create and deliver presentations, role-specific training, and tips & tricks to make the most of the enterprise PPM tool capabilities.This position is focused on enabling capabilities within the enterprise PPM tool that supports business needs rather than direct execution of projects, programs, or portfolios.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description .Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Required Experience, Training & Eligibility QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Seven years of professional information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree; or Eleven years of professional information technology experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:You must have at least four years of experience managing IT programs or portfolios.You must have experience with software testing, training, and user guide development.You must have knowledge of portfolio, program, and project management principles and practices.You must have knowledge of budgetary planning, funding models, and resource management at the program or portfolio level.You must have knowledge of risk management and performance measurement methods.You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required):Bachelor's DegreeAbility to coordinate internal staff and external vendors in a matrixed environment. Ability to communicate effectively orally with technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, including plans, reports, and executive briefings. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Certification in Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Agile, SAFe, ITIL Foundations, or similar certifications.Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
