Job Description

We are seeking a talented and dynamic PR & Social Media Specialist to join our team. This role combines public relations and social media responsibilities and will be responsible for managing public relations strategies, media relations, and social media presence to enhance the company’s reputation and brand image. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media practices and the ability to create engaging content and interact with audiences on various social media platforms.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in drafting press materials including press releases, media pitches and briefing documentsBuild and maintain media lists across business and technology outletsTrack media coverage and compile weekly coverage reports, share of voice and sentiment summariesExecute day-to-day social media publishing, with a focus on LinkedIn for B2B audienceAmplify press coverage, announcements and thought leadership through social channelsDraft social posts aligned with corporate messaging and campaign goalsMonitor engagement and respond to comments in collaboration with internal teamsRepurpose media coverage into social content, blog summaries and internal newslettersCoordinate with design team to create simple visuals such as quote cards and event recapsSupport integrated campaigns by ensuring consistent messaging across PR and socialMonitor industry conversations, competitor announcements and trending topicsProvide weekly reports on social performance and media coverageFlag potential risks or sensitive issues for the communication teamKnowledge and Skills:Strong creative writing skills with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives, generate fresh ideas, and adapt storytelling techniques to enhance branding and communication strategiesDemonstrated ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and manage tasks efficientlyKnowledge of the latest trends in marketing, social media, and digital communication strategiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishRequired Qualifications:Years of Education Bachelor’s degree (preferred in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related writing-intensive fields)Work Experience 2-6 years of experience in PR, communication, social media or marketingStrong writing and editing skills with attention to detailFamiliarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms in a professional contextAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign) preferredExperience supporting communications or marketing initiatives in technology, enterprise hardware, AI, or infrastructure industries preferredExperience supporting product launches or market expansion initiativesWorking Conditions:Office Only: Typically works in an office environmentRequires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time May involve ~20% domestic travel to meetings, events, and conventions$70,304 - $90,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California or City of Industry, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, & 401(k).
