Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Human Resources to lead and scale our people strategy across our brand portfolio. This role will manage and mentor a team of HR Business Partners who support all brands, while also serving as a key architect of HR processes, policies, and change initiatives as the organization continues to grow.The VP of HR will balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and a strong, consistent people experience across brands.This role can be hybrid in our Salt Lake City office or in our Los Angeles office with a hybrid schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite. Key ResponsibilitiesHR Leadership & Business PartnershipLead, coach, and develop a team of HR Business Partners who support all brands and functions across the organizationEnsure HRBP alignment, consistency, and high-quality service delivery across a multi-brand environmentServe as a strategic advisor to executive and senior leadership on people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational designProcess, Policy & Infrastructure DevelopmentDesign, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, programs, and processes to support a scalable, compliant, and high-performing organizationEstablish consistent people practices while respecting individual brand identities and business needsEnsure policies align with employment laws, best practices, and company valuesChange Management & Organizational EffectivenessLead and support change management initiatives related to growth, restructuring, system implementations, and evolving business prioritiesPartner with leaders to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of workingProvide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and culture initiatives during periods of changeEmployee Relations & Risk ManagementOversee complex employee relations matters, investigations, and performance issuesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all brandsPartner with Legal and leadership to mitigate risk and maintain strong governanceCollaboration & Cross-Functional PartnershipWork closely with Talent, Payroll, L&D, Finance, and Operations to ensure an integrated people strategyUse data and insights to inform decision-making and continuously improve HR effectivenessQualifications:10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience leading HR Business Partners in a multi-brand or multi-entity organizationExperience in retail, beauty (hair, nails, cosmetics, fashion, fragrance etc.) consumer brands, or fast-growth environments strongly preferredExperience working at start-ups or small scrappy organizations, balancing strategy and executionDemonstrated success building, implementing, and scaling HR processes, policies, and infrastructure in growing organizationsStrong experience leading change management initiatives and driving adoption across diverse stakeholder groupsDeep knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practicesExperience in retail, beauty, consumer brands, or fast-growth environments strongly preferredProven ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when neededExcellent leadership, communication, and influence skills, with the ability to partner effectively at the executive levelComfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity in evolving organizationsBenefits And PerksBase pay of $200,000 annually with an additional 20% annual bonus401(k) with company match - $ for $ up to 4% - immediately vestedVacation/Holiday LeaveCompetitive Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceLife and AD&D InsuranceOpportunities for growth and advancementAnd so much more!Equal Employment Opportunity at Beauty Industry GroupAt Beauty Industry Group, we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
