Find out more about working with us .About The RoleThe Principal Advisor Autism plays a key role in our delivery of autism-specific services and expertise in Metropolitan South Region. Current knowledge of state school and regional systems and processes will be highly regarded.Metropolitan South Region has regional offices located in Mount Gravatt and Ipswich and flexible work options are available.Your ResponsibilitiesAs the Principal Advisor, Autism, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Provide autism-specific support and advice directly to schools.Provide advice and support to schools with at-risk or critical incidents involving students with autism.Collaborate with key regional staff to ensure a coordinated approach to support schools in the implementation of inclusive, evidence-based practices to meet the learning needs of students with autism and reduce practices that create barriers to access and participation.Respond to incoming inquiries to the Autism Hub advisory service, ensuring that timely, consultative and evidence-informed autism-specific advice and support is provided to parents and staff from Queensland schools and other organisations.Please refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
