An exciting opportunity exists for two high performing individuals to join The Wave (Rail), within Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of AO7 Principal Advisor (Comms and Engagement).The Wave (Rail) project, previously known as the Direct Sunshine Coast Rail Line project, is a generational infrastructure project that will revolutionise travel for the Sunshine Coast region, creating a seamless public transport network for the region. The Wave will deliver heavy passenger rail from Beerwah to Birtinya, and metrostyle vehicles will provide links between Birtinya, Mountain Creek, Maroochydore CBD and the Sunshine Coast Airport.Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is a vital government agency moving and connecting people, places, goods and services safely, efficiently and effectively around Queensland. If you want to add value to Queensland, this is the role for you!The OpportunityIn the role of Principal Advisor (Communications and Engagement), you will lead stakeholder engagement and communication activities for The Wave (Rail) project, shaping a clear and cohesive narrative across a complex stakeholder environment. You will manage a small team of communication specialists, providing high-level project advice and ensuring all written and verbal communications are delivered to ahigh standard. The role focuses on maintaining high levels of customer and stakeholder satisfaction by efficiently addressing stakeholder concerns and media enquiries while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.As the Principal Advisor (Communications and Engagement), you will develop and execute comprehensive communication plans across various channels to drive engagement and behaviour change. You will lead media management, provide timely and accurate advice, and monitor communication activities to implement iterative improvements.
