We support, reward and challenge individuals equally, in a dynamic and energetic environment.Role Overview: The Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) professional defines and drives the overall strategy for software and hardware asset management across their full lifecycle from procurement to retirement. This role focuses on developing licensing frameworks, optimizing costs, ensuring compliance, and managing complex vendor relationships. The position involves handling external audits, leading renewals, implementing automation, and aligning SAM and HAM lifecycle practices with business goals. The senior professional is responsible for strategic decision making, data driven analysis, and maintaining governance and control across all asset management functions.What you will do:Define the strategy for licensing metrics, including core based, processor based, concurrent and named user models, and guide the team on implementing these strategies.Handle complex licensing metrics and agreements with major publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, SAP, ANSYS, Autodesk…, and develop roadmaps for vendor management and negotiations.Lead license consumption data and cost analysis efforts, identifying opportunities for cost savings and strategic decision making.Develop roadmaps and guide the team to drive Optimization initiatives that improve license utilization and reduce costs.Define and oversee compliance strategies and frameworks for licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.Manage and execute license renewals and handle external audits through a defined processIdentify opportunities to improve reporting, and direct the generation of reports on asset inventory, utilization and costs, analyzing the data to develop improvement strategies.Define and guide Effective License Positioning (ELP) efforts to align licenses with usage and optimize entitlements.Define the strategy for hardware asset management, guiding the integration of hardware lifecycle tasks with software asset management.Develop and guide the governance of the CMDB, ensuring accurate configuration data for all IT assets.Identify opportunities for process improvement and guide the analysis of current HAM and SAM processes, implementing best practices and optimizing workflows to enhance efficiency.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency in HAM and SAM processesLead vendor management strategy, guiding negotiations and contract validations, and collaborate with stakeholders and cross functional teams to align asset strategies with business goals.Prepare and present dashboards and reports to managementStrategic vendor management and negotiation skills, and the ability to guide the team in contract validation.Knowledge of SAM tools such as Snow Software and Flexera.Define strategy with strong leadership, mentoring and team guidance skills and lead the asset management functions.What you will need:Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.Senio Asset Management Engineer: 7+ years of experience with leadership in IT asset management.Strong understanding of software and hardware asset lifecycles, including procurement, deployment, usage, optimization, and retirement.In depth knowledge of licensing metrics and models (core based, processor based, concurrent, and named user) across major publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, SAP, ANSYS, and Autodesk….Proficiency in Software Asset Management tools such as Snow Software and Flexera, with working knowledge of reporting and dashboard generation.Analytical and problem solving skills to perform data, cost, and utilization analysis for optimization and compliance using Excel, Power query and Power BIExperience in compliance management and audit readiness, ensuring adherence to licensing agreements and regulatory standards.Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and cross functional teams.Technical familiarity with automation and scripting tools, including VB scripting, PowerShell, and SQL, to streamline SAM and HAM processes will be added advantageTalent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
