Job DescriptionWood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Principal Civil/Structural Engineer (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Atyrau/Almaty, Kazakhstan.Responsibilitiesresponsible for structural analysis, design, specification and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete and steel for pipe racks, pipe bridges, access stairs and platforms, buildings, etc.check calculations and designs by engineers and provide feedback to encourage them to improve their engineering skillsprovide input to Basis of Design, Design Reports and FEED studiesprepare Job Packs and Material Requisitionssigning of drawings & key documentsproduce CTR’s as requiredcarry out site surveys and site inspections as requiredcarry out Author Supervision duties when requiredunder general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizationsprovides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and othersprovides mentoring and training to engineerswill have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems efficiently and economicallyconfined space access i.e. vessels, columns and pitsmay be requested for inputs into technical bidsshould be able to evaluate vendors technical bid offersQualificationsDegree in relevant Engineering field Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templatesWork experience in the respective position no less than 7 yearsAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
