We partner with founder-led and middle-market businesses to drive operational excellence, strategic growth, and sustainability across the industry.Position OverviewThe Private Equity Associate will play a critical role across the full investment lifecycle—from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management and exit execution. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a passion for the transportation and logistics space, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Sourcing & EvaluationConduct market research to identify emerging trends and attractive subsectors in transportation, logistics, freight, warehousing, and related services.Build and maintain proprietary deal pipelines, manage intermediary relationships, and participate in outreach efforts.Evaluate investment opportunities through financial modeling, valuation analyses, and competitive assessments.Due Diligence & Transaction ExecutionLead financial, operational, and commercial diligence workstreams in collaboration with senior team members and third-party advisors.Prepare and review detailed financial models, sensitivity cases, and return analyses (IRR, MOIC, scenario modeling).Draft investment memoranda and present findings to the investment committee.Support legal documentation review, transaction structuring, and closing processes.Portfolio ManagementPartner with portfolio company management teams to track performance, develop KPIs, and support strategic initiatives.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, add-on acquisition analysis, and long-term growth planning.Prepare quarterly reporting materials for internal stakeholders and limited partners.Research & Sector ExpertiseMonitor macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes, and industry dynamics relevant to transportation and logistics.Build internal knowledge databases and support thematic investing strategies.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.3–5 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate development focused in the Transportation & Logistics sectorStrong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and Excel.Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings to senior leadership.Experience or strong interest in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or infrastructure sectors preferred.Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with a high level of ownership.
