Superintendent – Commercial Interior Fit-Outs📍 New York, NY | Full-Time | On-SiteAbout the CompanyMy client is a New York–based General Contractor specializing in high-end commercial interior fit-outs and renovation projects across Manhattan and the greater NYC area. Their portfolio includes office, hospitality, retail, amenity spaces, and complex occupied-building modernizations. They are known for exceptional craftsmanship, service, and delivering projects to the highest standard.Role OverviewMy client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on premium commercial interior projects. The successful candidate will oversee site logistics, trade coordination, safety, inspections, quality control, and schedule execution, partnering closely with clients, design teams, project management, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily jobsite operations, site logistics, labor, and subcontractor coordinationMaintain project schedule; track progress and support look-ahead planning with PMEnsure workmanship and installation quality meet client and design standardsEnforce all safety policies/requirements; conduct toolbox talks and site inspectionsReview drawings, submittals, and RFIs to resolve field conflicts proactivelyCoordinate with building management, inspectors, and design teams for required approvalsMaintain daily reports, site documentation, and issue logs in Procore (or equivalent)Support coordination of material deliveries, equipment, and manpower schedulingQualifications5+ years of construction field experience, preferably within NYCStrong record supervising high-end commercial fit-outs / renovations, ideally in occupied buildingsAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals; proven field issue resolutionStrong communication and trade coordination skills; professional client-facing approachProficiency with Procore and Microsoft OfficeOSHA certification required; additional safety credentials preferred
