Your new company:Top Tier General Contractor based in the Washington DC area are looking to hire a Director of oversee Healthcare construction projects across the DMV area. Open to Senior Project Managers seeking progression into a Director role. Or a current Director or Project Executive seeking long--term career advancement with an industry leader. This role is specific to high-profile, healthcare construction projects in the local DC area and therefore are looking to connect with senior level professionals with a wealth of knowledge in healthcare construction projects. $190K - $225K base salary plus comprehensive benefits.The position:As a Construction Director you will be tasked with leading a program of healthcare construction projects. These projects will be high-profile, up to 300,000 sq ft, multi-million dollar projects.Core responsibilities include:Lead overall project strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget, and schedule from preconstruction through closeout.Oversee project teams and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and accountability to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget, team will be 6-10 personnel of PEs - PMs. Manage client relationships and stakeholder communication, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues proactively.Monitor financial performance and risk management, including cost control, contract compliance, and change order negotiations.Drive safety, quality, and sustainability standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company best practices across all phases of construction.This position will develop into a Vice President of Construction position in 2-3 years time if are seeking continued career development in people management. Or there are business focused paths available.To be successful in this position, you will need:10+ years of working for a General Contractor as a Snr Project Manager or Project Executive, where you are taking full ownership of project delivery from preconstruction, construction, and handover.Proficient understanding and expertise in commercial healthcare construction projects.
