Job Title: Content SyndicatorLocation: Remote, CA 94107 Duration: 6 Months plusPay Range: $28/hr to $35/hr on W2 (DOE)About the RoleYou’ll turn client-sourced conversations into crisp, magazine-style articles across multiple formats (AMA, Listicle, Story, Debate/Discussion).You’re first and foremost a strong writer who’s worked across genres and knows how to use voice, structure, and pacing to land a story.You’ll draft, copyedit, and format pieces that use verbatim quotes, correct linking rules, and framing to produce compelling stories, so they read cleanly for a broad audience (e.g., Apple News) while keeping the community voice at the center. You should be comfortable spotting timely angles and packaging UGC around trending topics.What You’ll DoWrite & Edit: Produce and review LLM-assisted article drafts daily; line-edit for clarity, flow, and neutrality; ensure every sentence earns its place. You should be well-versed in writing conventions.Refine & Format: Write daily articles while keeping outputs consistent with the brand style; choose the right format for the story (AMA, Listicle, Story, Debate/Discussion); and structure articles to be engaging.Source with Integrity: Pull verbatim quotes from top comments; attribute to subreddits (not usernames); maintain clean, consistent link hygiene (subs → homepages; “post/thread/comments/opinions” → exact permalinks).Quality Bar: You should have solid copyediting skills to fix recurring issues and feed learnings back into the LLM; tighten language, vary sentence structure, and remove filler from stories produced by other team members.Safety & Policy: Enforce “avoid” categories; handle profanity per rules; escalate edge cases.Collaboration: Work with curators, editors, and Media/Comms partners; incorporate editorial feedback quickly across time zones.Metrics: Track throughput, edit rate*** link accuracy, and turnaround time; use data to improve.Trend Packaging: Monitor news cycles and platform trends; surface timely, high-interest angles and convert UGC into compelling, on-topic pieces.Must-Haves5+ years in digital writing/editing (newsroom, magazines, or high-volume content ops).
