The company has an embedded safety culture, technically challenging work across all the different parts of the business and some of the best training available in the energy industry.For more information, please visit www.eetfuels.com The RoleWe are looking for an Experienced Operator to join our Operations Team within the Energy Recovery Plant (ERP).Reporting to the Production Specialists you will play a key role in the safe start-up, shutdown, monitoring, and adjustment of the process, along with associated utilities, storage, and logistics areas.Key Responsibilities Monitor and adjust plant processes, taking corrective action to stay within defined operating parameters. Oversee critical equipment, carrying out timely interventions when required. Perform routine checks and tasks on equipment, recording findings accurately. Take samples and conduct laboratory testing. Respond appropriately to abnormal conditions, including participation in emergency response. Prepare equipment for maintenance and ensure effective handover. Carry out minor maintenance tasks and raise notifications in SAP. Issue work permits and conduct safety verifications such as gas testing. Report Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality concerns through the appropriate systems. Keep detailed shift records and deliver thorough handovers. Contribute to start-of-shift meetings and support planning/execution of major maintenance events (e.g. Turnarounds). Actively participate in safety/environment meetings, incident investigations, and the continuous improvement of operational procedures.About YouWe Are Seeking Candidates With A recognised qualification in Process Plant Operations (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) – essential. Further qualifications (e.g. HNC) – preferred. Proven operating experience within the process industry - essential. A strong understanding of process hazards and safety practices. The ability to interpret plant drawings and apply knowledge to operations and maintenance activities. Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage at all levels of the business. Competence in IT systems and analytical problem-solving. A collaborative, team-focused approach.
