We’re looking for a Procurement Director to join LEGO Jiaxing Manufacturing.You’ll lead and inspire a team of procurement, partnering closely with factory stakeholders and global teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.Core ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain the procurement organization, systems, and capabilities to support the growth and operational needs of LEGO Jiaxing Manufacturing.Identify local sourcing opportunities and develop a robust local supplier base to ensure supply continuity and cost efficiency.Develop, lead, and manage the procurement team, including setting KPIs, monitoring performance, and building team capabilities.Drive cost savings, operational efficiency, and value creation through effective procurement strategies and supplier management.Lead strategic negotiations with key suppliers for long-term agreements, using data-driven insights to optimize productivity, cost, and performance.Ensure full compliance with The LEGO Group policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls, including PO, FSC, and CoC standards.Champion continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness.Embed and execute environmental, health, and safety policies in all procurement activities.Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management.Play your part in our team succeedingThe Procurement Department at LEGO Jiaxing Manufacturing is a key enabler of operational excellence, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant supply of materials, equipment, and services required for smooth factory operations. The team drives value through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, cost savings, and continuous process improvement, while embedding sustainability, environmental, and safety practices throughout the supply chain.The Procurement Director leads this department, partnering closely with factory stakeholders and global teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives. This role drives operational efficiency, strengthens supplier capabilities, mitigates risks, and ensures compliance across all procurement activities. It offers a unique opportunity to build a new procurement organization from the ground up and contribute to the successful establishment and growth of LEGO Jiaxing Manufacturing.Do you have what it takes?Relevant Education background in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline, with significant experience in procurement, supply chain, or related functionsProven experience in procurement or other relevant supply chain functions, with a track record of delivering results.High degree of integrity and ethical standards in all business dealings.Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience building, managing, and developing high-performing teams.Strong knowledge of procurement policies, sourcing practices, supplier risk management, business law, contracts, and negotiation principles, and awareness of industry trends.Excellent decision-making skills, using analysis, experience, and judgment to make sound and timely decisions.Strategic thinking and business acumen, able to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across cultures and functions.Nice to have Procurement & Operations Expertise Experience in lean manufacturing, operational procurement, or production material management, with knowledge of digital procurement tools, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms.Change & Transformation Ability to thrive in a transforming organization, adaptable to change, and committed to continuous improvement.Global Exposure & Collaboration Experience in multi-cultural or international environments; facilitates collaboration across plant functions and cross-functional teams.Innovation & Problem-Solving Encourages innovation and promotes creative, data-driven problem-solving within the team and across functions.Strategic & Risk Awareness Strategic thinker, capable of aligning procurement activities with broader business goals; familiarity with sustainability, ESG initiatives, risk management, and contingency planning.Leadership & Professional Development Strong project management skills, self-motivated, proactive, and ideally with negotiation or contract management certification.Language SkillsEnglish Advanced (Level 13–16 / C1–C2) – Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with global stakeholders, and suppliers.Mandarin Intermediate (Level 10–12 / B2) – Preferred to read, write, and communicate with local suppliers and internal teams at the Jiaxing factory.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
