Procurement Lead (Marketing Category)

We are looking to hire a Procurement Lead (Marketing Category) who will be responsible for leading category management and strategic sourcing activities for our client based in Dubai – one of the largest companies in the region.This position is an initial 12-month contract role (renewable).The role sits within the Procurement Department and reports directly to the Procurement Manager (Marketing Category).We are looking for a passionate Procurement Lead who will drive performance across marketing procurement projects through strategic sourcing, spend analysis, and supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in category management, cost optimization, contract management, and market intelligence, preferably within a shared services or group procurement environment.Key Responsibilities:Execute category management and strategic sourcing activities in line with business needs and procurement protocols.Conduct spend analysis and market intelligence studies to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Manage supplier relationships, including evaluation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.Support the Category Manager in defining and implementing category and supplier strategies.Perform cost-benefit and value analysis to drive savings and efficiency improvements.Prepare reports on key performance indicators and recommend process improvement actions.Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Audit, and Procurement Excellence teams to ensure compliance and alignment.Drive special sourcing projects aimed at improving service levels, reducing costs, and enhancing procurement processes.Knowledge, Skills & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in procurement or category management, preferably in marketing or indirect categories.Strong understanding of contracts, supplier management, and strategic sourcing methodologies.Prior experience in procurement shared services or group-level procurement is an advantage.Professional certifications such as CIPS or Project Management are preferred.Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong project management skills with a customer-centric and innovation-driven mindset.Availability:Preference will be given to candidates available immediately.We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work in the United Arab Emirates.
