The OpportunityThe Procurement & Logistics Specialist at Hitachi, Ltd. is responsible for optimizing the acquisition of goods and services and ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our global operations. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and streamlining logistics processes to support business objectives.How You’ll Make An ImpactYou will identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; manage existing supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and regular business reviews.You will lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) for materials, components, and services, develop and manage procurement contracts.You will process purchase requisitions, create purchase orders, and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. You will coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in the supply chain.You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels, minimize obsolescence, and ensure material availability for production and projects. You will conduct market research to identify new technologies, materials, and suppliers, analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.You will ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, identify and mitigate supply chain risks, work closely with engineering, production, finance, and sales teams to understand material requirements and support project timelines. You will maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and logistics data, and generate reports as required.You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your BackgroundYou hold a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Business, or logistics or equivalent relevant experience.Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Staff, or a similar role, preferably in an electrical or electronics manufacturing company.Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.Strong knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain management, and best practices in negotiation, good understanding of the technical specifications of raw materials and components used in electrical appliance production.Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, experience managing supplier relationships, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented & able to work independently and as part of a team, proficient in using ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Strong understanding of logistics principles, including transportation modes, warehousing, and inventory control.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
