Job SummaryMeyer Lab is seeking an motivated and detail oriented Procurement Manager. The Procurement Manager will lead and oversee procurement and purchasing activities for all business units within the company. This includes, but is not limited to, interfacing and negotiating with vendors, suppliers, and internal personnel to ensure the cost-effective, timely, and high-quality supply of raw materials, packaging, and related goods and services to support day-to-day business operations. The role also includes responsibility for managing and optimizing the company’s NetSuite ERP procurement functions, ensuring accurate and efficient system use for purchasing workflows, data integrity, reporting, and vendor management.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcurement Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with company goals.Leverage NetSuite ERP data and reporting tools to analyze procurement trends, forecast needs, and support informed decision-making.Forecast procurement needs based on production schedules and inventory targets.Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to ensure best value without compromising customer service or quality. Utilize NetSuite to track supplier performance metrics, manage vendor records, and ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards and delivery expectations.Purchasing Operations:Oversee day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders.Manage and continuously improve procurement workflows within the NetSuite ERP system to streamline operations and reduce errors.Ensure all procurement transactions comply with internal policies and industry regulations.Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ensure data integrity within NetSuite.Cost Control & Budgeting:Monitor and control procurement budgets.Mitigate supply risks through data-driven procurement decisions.Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with Sales, Finance, R&D, Production, Quality, and Logistics teams to understand material requirements and support new product development.Ensure procurement planning aligns with cross-functional objectives using insights across departments.Support production planning with timely availability of raw materials and components.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all procurement activities.Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions and regulatory non-compliance through proactive monitoring and system alerts. Education / Work Experience & Requirements6+ years of procurement experience. Experience and knowledge with chemicals, industrial products, and knowledge of regulatory requirements is a strong plus.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT). Must be willing to do strategic and tactical work as needed to drive business success. Excellent analytical, administrative, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.Familiarity with sustainable sourcing practices.Travel & Physical RequirementsTravel will be required based on business needs.
