Reed Recruitment Middle East is currently looking for a Procurement Officer for Abu Dhabi Location.Position OverviewThe Procurement Coordinator at plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s sourcing and supply chain functions. This full-time position ensures the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential for R&D projects. The role involves coordinating vendor relationships, overseeing purchase order execution, tracking inventory, and managing procurement administration to facilitate seamless project delivery and operational efficiency.The Procurement Coordinator reports directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute purchase orders and procurement transactions in compliance with company policies and project requirements.Support end-to-end sourcing activities, including requests for quotations (RFQs), supplier evaluation, comparison, and recommendation.Maintain accurate records for procurement, supplier contracts, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoices.Collaborate with R&D project leads, engineering, QA, and finance teams to verify specifications, lead times, and budgets.Monitor supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality, and pricing, and escalate issues to the Procurement Manager as needed.Track inventory levels of critical project materials and initiate replenishment while maintaining stock records.Facilitate customs clearance, import/export documentation, and compliance with UAE regulations and company trade policies by liaising with freight forwarders and customs brokers.Reconcile purchase orders, goods received notes (GRNs), and supplier invoices; coordinate with Accounts Payable to support timely payments.Implement cost-saving initiatives, negotiate terms when appropriate, and identify alternative sources to mitigate supply risk.Support procurement reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as procurement cycle time, spend analysis, supplier lead times, and cost variances.Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and the vendor code of conduct.Participate in vendor onboarding, conduct due diligence, and assist in periodic audits.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certification (such as CIPS or CPSM) is advantageous.2–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably with exposure to R&D, engineering, manufacturing, or technical projects.Practical experience handling RFQs, purchase orders, vendor management, inventory control, and import/export procedures within the UAE/GCC.Familiarity with ERP/Purchasing systems (including SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.Understanding of customs documentation, Incoterms, and UAE import regulations.Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.High integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to procurement governance.Key CompetenciesSupplier relationship managementContract administration and complianceInventory and material planning fundamentalsCost awareness and value engineering orientationProblem-solving and escalation managementTeam collaboration and cross-functional coordinationWorking Conditions & BenefitsOffice-based role with occasional site visits and supplier meetings.Opportunity to engage in innovative R&D projects and collaborate across functional teams.Competitive salary, health benefits, annual leave, and professional development s
