Leading the delivery of a high volume of sourcing projects globally, the centre acts as the operational engine of the procurement organisation. As such, the GDC plays a critical role in delivering both the in-year savings and the functions long term operating model.Procurement Specialist – Direct MaterialsThis role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:Execute sourcing strategies for spend categories in scope, aligning with the requirements of business stakeholders, and cooperating with Procurement Global Category and Manufacturing SitesNegotiate contracts with suppliers that secure favorable terms for procurement of goods and services contracts in line with the agreed business requirementsDeliver benefits identified in strategies, local, regional and global, through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovationEnsure GSK’s Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are utilized in a compliant manner in the area of responsibility;Deliver savings and other set KPIs critical to global procurement plans as aligned with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Savings Methodology and global budgetsCollaborate and build relationships with GSK leadership teams, to identify and deliver business benefits aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation requirementsResolve escalations, including from senior business stakeholders, timely and tactfullyThis role requires cultural awareness to work seamlessly across multi-cultural business landscape and proven experience in managing complex projects, operational/people sensitive issues, navigating through organizational complexity, handling escalations and associated business impact.If you have these skills, we would like to speak to you.2 years of operational Procurement experience, particularly with respect to implementing strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management and some experience of regulated environmentsProven experience in sourcing execution, commercial and contract negotiations for direct categories (active pharmaceutical ingredients, raw materials, packaging)Experience in using tools like Ariba or other equivalent sourcing execution technology;Excellent written and verbal communication skills – fluent EnglishGSK Procurement is a pioneering, influencing function with approximately 800 members across 50 countries who buy goods and services on a global scale and support our core functions.
