Procurement Specialist (External) - Siemens Energy, Cairo Egypt

A Snapshot of Your Day:This Procurement Specialist role is critical for supporting the ongoing buying functions and vendor management.To address this need, the role will focus on three core areas: Operational Procurement to handle the tactical execution of purchasing, Supplier Relationship Management to maintain performance and communication with key vendors, and Data Analysis to support our growing business.Given the focus on maintaining established procurement operations and vendor management, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar buying role, strong skills in using ERP systems (SAP- ARIBA) Microsoft Power BI -online bidding and other related tools.How You’ll Make an Impact: Process and review purchase requisitions and create the needed purchase orders for materials and services from major vendors. Working on vendor management and completing all the country needed vendors/supplier’s registration process, providing monthly reports with the status of the R4B and nun R4B vendors. Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery, resolving shipment, quality, and invoicing issues while maintaining accurate procurement data in SAP. Manage and close Purchase Orders, including invoice resolution, and act as the primary contact for operational interactions with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance against KPIs (delivery, quality, cost) and collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide feedback on vendor capabilities. Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, operational cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process optimization, supporting the evaluation of buying strategies. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and procurement regulations in all activities.What You Bring: Education level: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, supply chain management or a related field. Equivalent Experience will be considered. Years of experience: 1-3 within procurement departments preferred in energy or oil & gas sectors demonstrated experience working with ERP systems (SAP & ARIBA- Power BI is highly preferred) Skills: Strong analytical mind, data mining and presentation skills. Advanced MS Excel skills are a must, other data-handling skills beneficial Openness for new, quick learning & adaptability, cope with time pressure. Location: Will be based in Cairo headquarters with 50% internal needed travel within our country sites. Language: Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.About the Team: Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
