Job Type: Full-time, TemporaryDuration: 8 MonthsJob OverviewEF Educational Tours is currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic professional for the position of Procurement Trainee, to join our Operations Department at our Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, as part of EF’s Trainee Development Program.As a Procurement Trainee, you will play an important role in helping our customers travel throughout Europe by working with our team to procure and manage cost-effective and high-quality accommodation, restaurant, activity and transport services. You will support the Procurement team in building strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating rates and conditions, and ensuring that EF delivers exceptional experiences to our travelers.This position reports to a Procurement Manager and will involve close collaboration with suppliers and internal EF teams to ensure operational excellence and efficiency across our tour portfolio.Key Responsibilities Support negotiations for assigned categories and suppliers while identifying new potential partners Assist with managing bookings, allocations, reservations, and other operational processes, supporting new initiatives and projects as needed Help secure competitive rates and conditions while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to strengthen collaboration through a supplier relationship management approach Monitor and escalate potential risks or safety concerns related to suppliers or services Maintain accurate contracts, invoices, and records, providing system and compliance support as neededMain Objectives For This RoleProvide reliable, efficient support to the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with suppliersMaintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple procurement tasks and prioritiesCommunicate clearly, professionally, and collaboratively with suppliers and internal teamsKeep detailed, up-to-date records of contracts, allocations, invoices, and supplier interactionsCollaborate with team members to ensure consistency and alignment across procurement processes and projectsTake initiative in problem-solving and process improvement, always focusing on cost-effectiveness, quality, and operational efficiencySkills & ExperienceFluency in English, both verbal and written; additional languages are a plusCustomer service and process oriented with a problem solving mindsetCompassionate, empathetic, and motivated by helping othersStrong attention to detail and communication skillsEnjoys working as part of a collaborative teamResilient, positive, and able to handle high-stress situations with professionalismWhy you will love working with usPeople at EF make things happen.
