Product Developer and Merchandiser –Swimwear and Apparel

该职位来源于猎聘Purpose: Drive the garment product development process from receipt of tech pack to buy order production ready for assigned Vendors/factories, with an emphasis on tech pack clarification, product sampling and engineering in accordance with the development calendars. Technical support including testing and quality standards implements into production.Responsible ForCollaborate with Regional designer and Product manager to assess the rationality of fabric and trim combinations and verify craftsmanship accuracy based on design file.Work with cross functional teams to improve and develop new products and technologiesEstablish style tech pack – Consolidate design CADs, Colourways, BOM, packaging materials and sample measurement chart ready for vendor start sample developmentCoordinate sample yardage and materials with mills and garment vendorsCoordinate forecast with material MOQ, surcharge issueManage garment quotation and production lead time review with product managerMonitor sample development progress to ensure timely, accurate, and high-qualityOrganize internal sample reviews with design and product manager to guarantee style accuracy and quality, while identifying potential risks and tracking solutions.Train and develop garment suppliers to ensure their full mastery of technical requirements and independent follow-up on sample progress and quality.Style risk assessment and testing arrangement at development stageParticipate PP sample and bulk testing sign off to productionEssential SkillsMarket trend insight, deep understanding of consumer needs; ROI-driven decision-making.Sets challenging goals and pursues continuous growth.Original thinking, willingness to experiment, and accountability.Consumer oriented, approach across teams; proactively aligns with business objectives.Proficient in knitted and woven garment techniques and production processes, capable of providing designers with appropriate technical solutions while guiding garment factories in production and troubleshooting issues.Knowledgeable in apparel materials, construction methods, cost factors, and pattern engineering.Skilled in using office software (Excel, Word, Email, PowerPoint, etc.)Strong team player with excellent execution, communication, and sense of responsibility.Experience/Job Knowledge/Education needed:Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.Major in Fashion and Textile, Garment design and engineering or related are preferredMinimum 3 years of experience as a garment technologist in apparel manufacturing enterprises, or at least 1 year in equivalent position at brand companies
