Our treatments seamlessly incorporate both partner products and our proprietary skincare line, FFFormulations, which launches next year—marking our evolution into a fully integrated treatment and product brand.Role overview:We're seeking a strategic Product Development Manager to lead Formula Fig's transformation into a fully integrated service-and-product skincare company. This role will own the entire product ecosystem—from identifying guest needs through inventory optimization, from third-party curation to the landmark launch of FFFormulations. You'll be the bridge between our treatment rooms and retail shelves, ensuring every product decision enhances the guest journey and drives our flywheel of treatment-to-retail conversion.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and operational excellence, as you'll be building the product function while executing critical launches.You’ll work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Retail and commerce. This role is contract and remote and can be based in Los Angeles or Canada.Role responsibilities: Product Strategy & Guest IntelligenceServe as the voice of the guest, translating feedback from Fig Bars and digital channels into actionable product decisionsAnalyze treatment data, retail performance, and guest behavior to identify product opportunities and gapsDefine product strategy that strengthens our treatment-to-retail flywheel and membership value propositionEstablish feedback loops between Guest Concierge teams, aestheticians, to drive product developmentFFFormulations Launch & DevelopmentOwn the end-to-end launch of FFFormulations (March 2026), our proprietary skincare lineManage pilot batch testing (arriving November 2025) and refinement based on team and guest feedbackDevelop SKU roadmap for both professional (in-treatment) and retail productsEnsure seamless integration with treatment protocols and retail merchandisingPartner with Marketing on positioning FFFormulations as our hero differentiatorInventory & Open-to-Buy ManagementOwn inventory planning across Fig Bar locations plus e-commerce, optimizing for both cash flow and revenue drivingDevelop and execute open-to-buy strategy balancing owned products, exclusive partnerships, and curated third-party brands Establish and track inventory KPIs to optimize stock levels, reduce working capital tied up in inventory, and eliminate preventable stockoutsCoordinate with location teams to align replenishment plans with seasonal trends and local sales patternsCross-Functional LeadershipPartner with teams to ensure product education and retail integration at every touchpointCollaborate with Marketing on product storytelling, launches, and content strategyWork with Finance on margin optimization and pricing strategySupport Brand Marketing on brand collaborations Third-Party Curation & PartnershipsEvaluate and onboard strategic third-party brands that complement our treatment menu and brand positioningLead third-party product buying decisions with a category optimization lens — balancing brand performance, margin contribution, and assortment diversity to drive overall retail profitability.Negotiate terms, exclusives, and collaborative opportunities with partner brandsIdentify white-label and private-label opportunities beyond FFFormulationsLaunch Readiness & Go-to-MarketOwn the internal product launch calendar for owned and collaborative SKUs, ensuring readiness across systems, packaging, inventory, and education.Partner with eCommerce and Marketing teams to develop launch assets and positioning for DTC, retail, and third-party wholesale platforms.Support the evolution of FFFormulations or other owned-product lines by leveraging data, trends, and guest feedback post-launch.Role qualifications: 5+ years of product development experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, or related categories.Proven track record managing product development cycles from concept through commercialization.Strong understanding of formulation, packaging, supply chain processes, and regulatory standards.Experience working with both owned-brand development and third-party collaborations.Exceptional project management, organization, and communication skills.Passion for skincare, product innovation, and delivering differentiated guest experiences.Background in both product development and buying/merchandisingExperience scaling products from local to multi-market distributionWhat Success Looks LikeFFFormulations launches on time with strong guest adoption and retail performanceInventory turns improve while maintaining 95%+ in-stock rates on core SKUsProduct mix optimization drives increased average ticket and membership valueGuest feedback consistently highlights product selection as a key differentiatorSuccessful integration of product storytelling across all guest touchpointsWhat we offer:The opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing skincare brandA dynamic and collaborative work environment Formula Fig provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment.
