Hydra X is a fintech start‑up that provides capital markets infrastructure to banks and other financial institutions in Singapore and across multiple regions. Our solutions enable clients to launch marketplaces that support transactions in a wide range of asset classes, including stocks, bonds, tokenised assets, and cryptocurrencies. They also let clients safeguard digital assets through a secure, MAS‑approved design.We are looking for a Product Manager who can turn ambiguous requirements into concrete development tasks. Sitting at the center of design, engineering and commercial, individuals performing well in this role are often curious, hungry to learn, clear and simple in communications and energised by new knowledge or challenges.We value humility, intellectual honesty and bias for action. If you thrive on learning, enjoy tackling tough problems, and believe great products emerge from tight‑knit, feedback‑positive teams, we’d love to meet you.ResponsibilitiesEffectively plan and facilitate workshops/ meetings with various stakeholdersAsk questions that surface hidden assumptionsConduct tight follow-ups from the meetings’ actionable itemsWrite clear and comprehensive PRDs that balance user experience with technical feasibilitySubstantiate every requirement with industry research and first-principles reasoningAsk sharp questions to effectively assess the alignment between a technical proposal and business requirementsInvest time to keep an up-to-date view of the technical architecture, as well as its constraints and roadmapTailor the message to executives, engineers or customers so each audience hears what matters most to themOwn the timeline and proactively adjust the development approach to meet the timelineRun “squad reset days” (retros, OKR refresh, capacity planning) that recharge focus and moraleContinuously scan the market and other relevant domains for solutions we can learn from or integrate withLeverage AI tools for rapid prototyping or other parts of the development process to enhance operational efficiencySkills and QualitiesRapid self-learning: you enjoy investigating problems, getting to the heart of how things work, and proactively acquiring knowledge through reading, networking or hands-on experience.First‑principles problem‑solving: you reason from fundamentals instead of defaulting to dogmatic frameworks/ industry standard practices.Stakeholder savvy: you are audience-aware both in speech and in writing. You’re unafraid to give and receive candid feedback, while being humble enough to seek clarification and admit when you don’t know.Being calm under pressure: you are level-headed and understand the importance of quality workplace relationships in accelerating productivity and cross-functional alignment.Efficiency advocate: you are comfortable in using and accelerating the adoption of various tools or technology (e.g. AI) that enhance efficiency within the team.Accountability: you are clear in your focus and outcomes you can achieve, and make consistent effort in aligning these goals with your manager and peers.Qualifications:Degree in Business or Engineering.Experience: We prefer candidates with experience maintaining a live product or scoping a project from its inception. Volunteer work or passion projects outside of your primary job are considered a plus.
