🌏 About The Daebak CompanyThe Daebak Company is a Seoul-based lifestyle and marketing company that connects global fans with the best of Korean culture - from products and brands to lifestyle and content.We’re looking for a Product & Merchandising MD Intern to join our team and help curate, manage, and design Daebak Boxes that deliver the spirit of Korea to the world.This is an unpaid internship, ideal for students or recent graduates interested in product curation, merchandising, brand communication, and K-culture marketing.💼 Responsibilities1. Product & Box CurationPlan and curate items for various themed Daebak Boxes (K-Beauty, K-Pop, K-Fashion, K-Snack, etc.)Collaborate with brand partners to propose product lineups for Brand Boxes (i.e. Etude House, Mediheal, CJ, Wiggle Wiggle)Research current K-trends to ensure box contents reflect what global fans love2. Inventory & Operations ManagementTrack and manage product and box inventory, ensuring smooth coordination between warehouse and marketing teamsSupport packing list organization and product data documentation3. Merchandising Strategy & Product DesignWork with the design and marketing teams to develop box concepts, product mix, pricing structures (COGS, COS), and campaign ideasContribute to packaging and magazine insert ideas that highlight Korean culture and aesthetics💡 Ideal CandidatePassionate about Korean trends, products, and global fan cultureCurious and proactive in learning new market and lifestyle trendsProficient in both English and Korean (especially reading and writing in Korean)Detail-oriented, organized, and responsible in managing product dataStrong communication skills -comfortable with email and phone communication with brand partnersAble to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentBonus Skills:Experience with Excel or Google Sheets (inventory & pricing management)Understanding of merchandising or e-commerceFamiliarity with Canva, Notion is a plus📩 How to ApplySend your resume and cover letter to Howard@daebak.coJoin us in creating Daebak moments that connect Korea to the world!
