Product Owner

(Maternity Leave Coverage)The Product Owner is responsible for the day-to-day management of one or more product verticals within SCI. The Product Owner will work in an agile environment and follow scrum methodology to ensure continuous delivery for customers. The role of the Product Owner is to ensure alignment of a shared product vision, create user stories, maintain a groomed backlog, and maximize the value of the product and the work of the team. They are empowered and responsible for the success of the product.ResponsibilitiesThe product owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work done by the scrum team. Main responsibilities are:Envisioning the productCreating alignment of a shared vision among the teamCreating product and user workflowsCreating user stories and co-creating user acceptance criteriaGrooming and prioritizing the backlog to best achieve stakeholder goals and missionsOptimizing the value of the product and the work of the teamCollaborating with stakeholdersContributions to the product roadmap, design, and visionTriage resolution for L4 production defectsPlanning releasesParticipating in team meetingsAd-hoc duties as may be assignedBEHAVIOURALPersistence: demonstrates tenacity and willingness to go the distance to get something done.A Sense of Humour: sometimes you just need to be able to laugh it offProactivity: acts without being told what to do.
