The OpportunityAs a Product & Project Engineer – Custom Manufacturing Services (CMS) (m/f/d) at Avantor, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering customized chemical solutions for our customers across the globe. From the initial concept to the first production run, you will lead product engineering projects that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. If you're passionate about solving complex challenges and want to grow within a purpose-driven, inclusive organization - you belong here.Your ResponsibilitiesAnalyze customer specifications and translate them into technical requirements Design and engineer tailored chemical solutions in collaboration with internal departments (production, lab, QA, regulatory affairs) and external suppliers Oversee testing and the first production run of custom products Calculate cost prices and ensure economic feasibility Provide expert technical support to internal teams and customers Manage multiple projects simultaneously Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards What You BringBachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (chemistry knowledge required) Strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills Fluency in English (written and spoken), Dutch and French are a plus Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; SAP experience is a plus Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure Ability to prioritize tasks and take full ownership of outcomes Broad understanding of chemical properties (e.g., solvents, plastics, corrosives, flammability) What We OfferCompetitive compensation package including base salary and performance bonus A dynamic role within a globally recognized brand in Life Sciences Continuous learning and career development opportunities Access to in-house and LinkedIn Learning platforms, plus language training A collaborative, supportive team environment where your expertise makes a difference DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
