Product Security Engineer

Job Description SummaryThe GE Healthcare AV System team is looking for a Security Engineer to be part of our exciting journey develop, build, maintain, deploy product for market leading medical visualization products. You will be responsible for driving vulnerability assessment, analyzes and help to identify security threats/bad design in the products, handling risk assessment with necessary administrative tasks and increase the development teams security awareness.Job DescriptionMain duties:conducting tests and scans to identify any vulnerabilitiesanalyzing, identifying the security threats, vulnerabilities and driving vulnerability assessment in the productsunderstanding threat impact in product on technical level, summarize to others and bring up a possible solution, mitigation planhandling security related administrative tasks such as reporting or document preparation for releasessupport Penetration Testing activitiesreviewing, classifying and evaluating all risks, defects which is related to product, handling threat modelsensuring documentation integrity and quality for the program areashare knowledge and best practices within team, increase the security awareness in development teams by presenting new trends, best practicesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)Experience in software development or tool/service development (3 years of relevant work experience)Has the ability and experience to analyze and evaluate impact of changes, defects, threats, vulnerabilities on product level and bring up a mitigation planGood knowledge of Linux system, Windows is a plusExperience in languages/tools such as Java, Python, Go (at least min one)Skilled in breaking down problems and documenting problem statementsKnowledge of the cyber security trends and hacker tacticsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishCharacteristicsOpen to challenges and complex problemsHas positive, proactive attitudeTeam playerPassionate about security and software development technologiesSystem/high level and out of the box thinkingDemonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitionsStrong interpersonal skills, excellent communicationAble to work under minimal supervision and open to collaborationLI-HYBRIDLI-AO1Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No
