Job Description

Production Executive - Automotive Wire Harness • Harness Assembly Management:• Oversee and manage all assembly operations, including branching, taping, sleeving, circuit routing, and complex sub-assembly integration.• Ensure the correct and efficient termination processes (e.g., connector insertion, crimp quality validation, soldering) are followed for all components.• Lead the setup and calibration of assembly fixtures, jig boards, and specialized tooling.• Final Inspection and Quality Control:• Manage the final quality check (FQC) and electrical testing processes, including continuity, circuit integrity, and functional testing using devices like Harness Boards Testers.• Implement rigorous inspection procedures to verify the harness against engineering specifications, focusing on dimensions, labeling, and component placement.• Drive immediate corrective actions for non-conformance issues identified during final inspection.• Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:• Analyze assembly workflow to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the routing and taping stages.• Implement Lean principles specifically tailored to manual and semi-automatic assembly lines to improve cycle time and reduce human error.• Ensure optimal material flow for components needed at the assembly stations (connectors, terminals, clips, conduits).• Team Leadership & Management:• Supervise and train assembly operators on complex harness routing and taping techniques, ensuring mastery of all work instructions (WIs).• Enforce strict adherence to safety and quality protocols, especially related to ESD and handling of sensitive components.• Packaging and Logistics Coordination:• Oversee the final packaging, labeling, and preparation of finished harnesses for shipment, ensuring adherence to customer packaging standards.• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) schedules are met.⚙️ Required Skills & Qualifications• Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent).• Experience: Proven experience (min 2 years) in a production management role within the automotive wire harness or assembly industry, with direct supervision of harness assembly and testing lines.• Technical Knowledge:• Expert ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness assembly drawings.• Strong understanding of crimping quality standards, connector locking mechanisms, and harness protection methods (taping/sleeving).• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment (e.g., Cirris systems, continuity testers) and quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, IPC/WHMA-A-620).• Competencies: Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills focused on assembly efficiency and final product quality.Reporting to Production ManagerPrioroty for person can start immediately.
