Production Planner

The production planner is responsible for activities related to controlling, scheduling, and managing the flow of production from acquisition of raw materials to distribution of finished product. Areas include purchasing of materials, logistics, distribution, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the master production schedule for Costa Rica – to ensure consistent results are met for internal revenues targets and external customer service.Oversee production schedules: considering factors of customer requests and demands, supplier delivery, quality plans and manufacturing processes by identifying potential issues within the manufacturing site.Monitor the production schedule during the month and makes changes, when necessary, when issues arise that may affect monthly revenue targets.Reschedule the date of release of the Sales Orders in coordination and communication with other departments involved, considering the dates that the materials will be available and the dates when orders occur, when necessary and in accordance with the customer priorities.Coordinate the delivery of orders to clients using the dates and priorities shown in the ERP program or the most recent information available. Manage escalations and customers expedite requests.RequirementsSignificant relevant experience in planning area (1-2 years)Bachelor's Degree - Industrial EngineerExperience with MRP II systems.Proficient in Microsoft Office SoftwareGood verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish).Must be detail oriented and possess analytical skillsCompetencies:Effectiveness in decision-making.Excellent interpersonal relations.Teamwork.
