Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.Position OverviewLocation: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)Shift: 7:00am-3:30pmThe Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules to support aerospace manufacturing and spares operations. This role ensures production work orders, materials, and capacity are properly aligned to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments. The Production Planner will also coordinate across production lines and subassembly work cells to maintain accurate priorities and status visibility.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain production schedules that align with customer orders, shop floor capacity, and material availability.Manage spares orders consisting of both buy/sell and make parts, ensuring on-time completion and shipment.Coordinate with planners from other production lines to obtain the latest status and commitments for shared components or assemblies.Plan and monitor activities for subassembly work cells, ensuring alignment with higher-level assembly and final build schedules.Review and release production work orders and confirming readiness of materials.Track and report progress of open work orders, identifying potential delays, shortages, or capacity constraints, and drive resolution.Maintain accurate ERP system data, including order start dates, completion dates, and status updates.Participate in daily and weekly production meetings to communicate build priorities, shortages, and delivery risks.Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and quality teams to resolve schedule conflicts and ensure smooth production flow.Who You AreBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination. Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.Understanding of spares management and mixed buy/make part coordination in a production environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (IFS, SAP, or similar).Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with subassembly planning and work cell coordination a plus.APICS or related supply chain certification preferred.What’s In It For YouBenefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disabilityPaid time off and holidays 401(k) plan with employer contribution matchingIn addition to offering competitive wages and benefits, Onboard Systems also offers the opportunity to increase your future earnings tied to growth in company performance.
