What you'll do:As a Production Software and Hardware Engineer based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacturing process of advanced security products. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing robust hardware and software systems that underpin the entire production workflow. You will be responsible for building workstations from the ground up, configuring them for specific assembly tasks, calibrating equipment to exacting standards, and maintaining seamless integration between hardware components and software platforms. Training assembly line workers on critical testing procedures will be central to your role; your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly will ensure procedural consistency across teams. You will collaborate with engineers to refine testing protocols while providing hands-on technical support whenever issues arise. Documenting every aspect of workstation setup and maintenance will be key to maintaining compliance with safety regulations. By assisting in the introduction of new technologies or upgrades on the shop floor, you will contribute directly to process improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence. Develop, install, and maintain essential hardware and software systems for the production process, including workstations and testing equipment tailored for security product manufacturing.Utilise Python for automation tasks, scripting solutions, data handling processes, and rapid tooling to streamline production workflows.Employ SQL for querying and managing databases related to production quality control, ensuring accurate data tracking and reporting.Provide comprehensive training to assembly line workers on In-Circuit Testing (ICP), In-Circuit Testing (ICT), and Smoke Testing procedures to uphold product quality standards.Build, configure, and maintain all workstations used in assembly and testing operations, guaranteeing precise calibration and optimal functionality throughout the production cycle.Collaborate closely with the production team and engineering staff to enhance testing procedures, resolve technical issues efficiently, and optimise overall manufacturing workflows.Offer expert technical support for both hardware and software aspects of production equipment, particularly focusing on testing devices and automation systems.Document detailed setup procedures, maintenance logs, and calibration schedules for all workstations to ensure thorough record-keeping and compliance with industry standards.Monitor hardware or software issues during production runs, addressing them promptly to minimise downtime and maintain consistent output quality.Assist in integrating new testing equipment, implementing upgrades, and supporting process improvements as part of ongoing initiatives for operational excellence. What you bring:Your background as a Production Software and Hardware Engineer should demonstrate substantial experience within electronics manufacturing environments where precision matters most. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a closely related discipline is required for this position.At least three years' proven experience working with manufacturing hardware and software systems within electronics or SMT assembly environments is essential.Comprehensive understanding of testing procedures such as In-Circuit Testing (ICP), In-Circuit Testing (ICT), and functional Smoke Tests is necessary.Demonstrated ability in building, maintaining, calibrating workstations as well as managing sophisticated testing equipment is highly valued.Experience in programming or scripting for automation purposes-particularly using Python-is advantageous for streamlining test systems.Proficiency in SQL for database management related to production quality control is desirable.Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with strong troubleshooting skills are vital for resolving technical challenges quickly.Outstanding communication skills with prior experience training others on technical procedures are important for fostering teamwork on the shop floor.Solid knowledge of safety standards along with quality control protocols relevant to electronics manufacturing is expected.Preferred: Experience with automation systems or PCB testing; familiarity with maintenance/calibration protocols for electronic test equipment; exposure to manufacturing IT systems.
