We do this by aligning the voice of our small business members with advocacy for change in federal policy that will make the government market more accessible to small businesses and the commercial technology ecosystem.The Channel's founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government.We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team!The Program Manager will lead and coordinate support efforts for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Quality, Safety, and Mission Assurance (QS) organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the continuous assessment and improvement of engineering, technology, process, production, and programmatic practices used in developing, testing, fielding, and operating the integrated, layered Missile Defense System (MDS). The Program Manager ensures all efforts align with MDA’s mission to enhance safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the MDS enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Provide program leadership and oversight for all QS support activities across multiple MDA sites. Manage and coordinate continuous assessment of MDS engineering, technology, and programmatic practices. Support the development, implementation, and execution of MDS safety policies, requirements, and programs. Lead efforts in System Safety Risk Identification and Management, ensuring compliance with MDA safety standards. Oversee and support Program/Project Safety Programs, ensuring alignment with overall mission assurance objectives. Facilitate the execution of the MDA Safety and Occupational Health program, driving consistency and effectiveness across locations. Collaborate with technical, engineering, and operations teams to identify process improvements and risk mitigation strategies. Manage deliverables, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful contract execution and customer satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact between the contractor team and MDA leadership, ensuring clear communication and accountability. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale defense, engineering, or safety assurance programs. Proven experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or similar DoD programs strongly preferred. PMP or equivalent program management certification desired. Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment, and mission assurance frameworks. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required.Position is contingent upon award.
