Job Description

Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Programme Associate. As the Programme Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of the organisation’s programmes.Programme Planning and ExecutionSupport the design, planning, and implementation of our client’s programmes.Coordinate programme activities, ensuring they align with the organisation’s mission and strategic goals.Assist in developing timelines, work plans, and budgets to ensure smooth programme delivery.Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify risks and mitigation strategies for project and programme delivery.Support the creation of concept notes, proposals, and pitch documents to secure programme funding and partnerships.Stakeholder EngagementFacilitate seamless communication and coordination between internal teams, external partners, and participants.Provide regular updates to internal and external programme stakeholders as required.Establish and nurture relationships with programme partners, donors, and beneficiaries to enhance collaboration.Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and partnership meetings as required.Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)Support the MEL department in the collection of data to measure programme performance, outcomes, and impact.Assist in designing data collection tools and implementing data-gathering processes.Contribute to programme evaluations and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.Compile and analyse data to prepare programme impact reports for internal and external stakeholders.Programme Operational ExcellenceMaintain accurate programme documentation, including reports, presentations, and participant records.Organize logistics for programme events such as venue bookings, participant registration, and material preparation.Assist in budget management, tracking expenditures, and processing financial transactions.Support project audits by ensuring records are well-maintained and accessible.Coordinate with the finance team to ensure timely financial reporting and accountability.Other DutiesProvide general administrative support to the team as needed, including scheduling, document preparation, and data entry.Take initiative in identifying and executing additional responsibilities that contribute to the organisation’s mission and goals.Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategy discussions to support organisational growth.Qualifications, Skills, and Experience RequiredBachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.At least 2 years of relevant experience.Strong data analysis and reporting skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Basic project management skills.Familiarity with administrative and operational tasks.Ability to multitask and be proactive.Expertise and knowledge in any of the following areas:AI systemsEnvironmental resilience, climate change, climate adaptation, or green techGender projectsProduct managementEducation projectsAdditional Skills and ExperienceExperience drafting project reports and monitoring project progress.Experience working on donor-funded projects.Experience using organisational tools and software.Strong report writing and oral communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and online collaboration tools.Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
