Job DescriptionWood is currently recruiting for Project Construction Lead tojoin our team in Chonburi, Thailand.The RoleThis position will act as the Owner’s Representative and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction controls throughout the project lifecycle. Ensuring that construction projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with the required quality and safety standards.What We Can OfferMeaningful and interesting projects delivered to leaders of industry across renewable and emerging energy sectorsFlexible working arrangements that balance client, team and individual needs offering hybrid and remote working where relevantCommitment to Diversity and Inclusion; we are an organization actively committed to diversity and inclusion across our business with employee networks committed to giving all employees a voiceCompetitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the marketCommitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interestsGlobal connections; join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our professionResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Owner to define project objectives, functional requirements, budget constraints, performance targets, and quality/safety standardsAssist in developing scopes of work (SOWs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and participate in the vetting and selection of project team membersLead and coordinate appointed vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers in delivering site logistics, early site works, permitting, and construction activitiesEnsure all deliverables meet Owner-specified requirements, including quality, schedule, installation standards, commissioning (CxA), logistics planning, and close-out documentation (e.g., warranties, spare parts, maintenance agreements)Support the development and use of a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) to enable effective cost and schedule managementMonitor construction progress against the approved schedule, conduct regular site inspections, and provide detailed progress reports to the Owner Review design documents at each stage (schematic, development, construction) to ensure alignment with project goals and constraintsProvide input on constructability and value engineering opportunities to optimize cost and build efficiencyIntegrate inputs from internal Owner stakeholders (e.g., facilities, IT, operations) into the design and execution phasesServe as the central point of contact between the Owner, contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure clear and transparent communicationProactively identify and mitigate risks (e.g., site conditions, regulatory changes, material availability)Address emerging issues and conflicts promptly, guiding resolution while prioritizing the Owner’s interestsEnsure design deliverables align with permitting and procurement timelinesAssist in facilitating site-specific permitting processes and ensure compliance with project manuals and regulatory requirementsProvide recommendations for corrective actions or recovery plans as neededConduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement in future projectsQualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team.
