Project Coordinator - Civil ConstructionMaple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for a Project Coordinator to join our Civil construction division in Ontario. The successful candidate will be working on the Highland Creek Treatment Plant project in Scarborough, Ontario.As a Project Coordinator in our Civil division, you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers in delivering heavy civil and industrial-type projects. In addition, you’ll support the project team with documentation, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, while gaining exposure to various contract types such as Design-Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management. Your key responsibility is to help ensure projects are delivered profitably, to spec, with high quality and a strong focus on site safety.In doing so, you will be involved inWill be participating on heavy civil and industrial type projectsAssisting in preparing budgets and construction schedules, setting up project administration filesWith direction from the Project Manager, initiating and maintaining correspondence with Owner, Architect, Engineers, sub-trades and suppliersGain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotationsAssisting with and/or clarifying scope of work with sub-trades and suppliersDeveloping successful relationships with current and prospective clients, consultants, realtors, and developersEnsuring there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as our Corporate Health and Safety PolicyAttending site meetings and assisting in the completion of project deficienciesClosing tenders in consultation with senior managersAt Maple we are looking for individuals who have the skills and desire to take on the role of a Project Coordinator and have the drive to become a Project Manager.Qualifications/SkillsMinimum 1 year or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry.A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience.We want an individual who will embody Maple Reinders core values ofPeople - Supporting our people to thrive.Integrity - Doing the right thing without compromise.Relationships - Building trust with clients & partners.Stewardship - Caring for communities & the environment.Ingenuity - Embracing challenges.
