Project Director – Data Centre ConstructionLocation: Oslo, NorwayEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentSector: Data Centre Construction / Mission Critical InfrastructureSalary: Up to Eur140,000 per annum plus additional benefitsAbout the RoleMy client are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects in Oslo, Norway. This is a senior leadership position responsible for the successful execution of complex, high-value technical builds from inception through to handover.As Project Director, you will oversee all aspects of project performance, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout all project phases.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the overall delivery of data centre construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.Provide strategic direction to project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with client objectives.Oversee procurement, design coordination, and construction execution in line with technical and regulatory requirements.Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for project delivery.Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery and operational processes.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 10+ years’ experience managing large-scale data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.Proven experience leading multi-million-euro construction programmes in a European market.Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (e.g. FIDIC, NEC, or similar).Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.Fluency in English is required; Norwegian or other Scandinavian languages are an advantage.EU work eligibility or right to work in Norway preferred.What They OfferCompetitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.Opportunity to lead flagship data centre developments for leading global clients.Collaborative and innovative working environment.Career progression within a rapidly growing European data centre delivery team.Interested?Apply now with your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience in data centre or mission-critical project delivery.
