Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to support the delivery of mobility, transportation, and public realm improvement projects. This role plays a key part in advancing community-focused infrastructure initiatives from detailed design through to construction. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary partners, the Project Engineer will help ensure projects are well-coordinated, technically sound, and executed to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Project CoordinationCoordinate with internal departments, external consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to support day-to-day project activities. Ensure timely communication, follow up on assigned tasks, and help maintain alignment with project schedules, design intent, and technical requirements.Site Assessments & Field DocumentationConduct site visits to review existing conditions, gather field information, take photographs, and identify any constraints that may impact design or construction. Prepare clear documentation and field reports to support project planning and technical decision-making.Reporting & Technical DocumentationAssist with creating and organizing project reports, design packages, and technical summaries. Support senior engineers in compiling information for design reviews, tender preparation, and construction coordination.Meeting AdministrationRecord accurate and detailed meeting minutes during project discussions. Distribute minutes promptly to stakeholders, outline action items, and ensure follow-ups are clearly tracked to support project momentum.QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Eligibility for registration as an E.I.T. or P.Eng. is preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills.Experience with mobility, transportation, municipal infrastructure, or public realm projects is an asset.Ability to perform fieldwork and prepare clear, concise technical documentation.At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
