Project Engineer – Industrial AutomationLocation: BelgiumContract: 1-4 years | Full-time on-siteOverviewEdison Smart are supporting a leading manufacturing client in Belgium looking for a Project Engineer to coordinate and lead the installation and integration of a new process line.This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who thrives in complex automation environments and enjoys steering multiple teams towards project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate installation and integration companies across automation and electrical scopes.Ensure activities align with project timelines and technical plans.Monitor progress, resolve on-site issues, and make operational decisions.Manage planning, scheduling, and overall execution of works.Act as a technical bridge between engineering, site teams, and integrators, covering automation, electrical, and project delivery functions.Technical RequirementsStrong understanding of PLC-based process control systems (Rockwell / Siemens exposure preferred).Capable of reviewing instrument lists, control drawings, and process electrical documentation.Proven experience managing large-scale industrial installation projects.Background in process automation or manufacturing environmentsMust be Dutch speakingProfile SummaryThey’re seeking a well-rounded Project Engineer / Integrator Lead, not a coder, but someone confident directing contractors, understanding the technical picture, and driving delivery from the field.
