For more information, visit https://corporate.hasbro.com or @Hasbro on LinkedIn.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate product requirements and carry out feasibility study.Evaluate product development schedule and lead progress through tool start to productionIssue product specifications, product & tool BOM.Provide cost-feature trade-off directions and determine tooling optimizationManage model makers to develop engineering prototypes and tool makers to build toolsPropose mechanical designs and electronic solutionsLiaise with multi-disciplinary team members, global colleagues, inland or overseas vendorsEvaluate engineering pilot samples and provide modification directionsOn-site review on initial production line setup for inland or overseas manufacturing vendorsYears of Experience RequiredMinimum 4 years of work experience in product engineering, ideally in toy and entertainment industry, is preferable.A solid individual contributor in his/her professional fieldTechnical Skills RequirementBachelor's degree in Mechatronic/Mechanical EngineeringKnowledge of toy regulations and standardsBasic skills in tool building & toy manufacturing processesBasic in CAD/CAE (Pro/E, Solidworks)Basic in mechanism designBasic in design for manufacturing and automationBasic skills in tool building & toy manufacturing processesBasic in CAD/CAE (ZBrush, FreeForm, Pro/E, Solidworks)Motorized mechanism design (Selection of motor, gear trains, clutch, linkage, choice of materials)Software and hardware solutions (Experience in IR/RF/BLE/App/Audio/Optics/Motor Control Systems)Design for manufacturing and automationProduct and tooling cost estimationExcellent command of English, Mandarin is plusSoft Skills RequirementsHe/she will be an important part of driving the success of the team's daily operationOccasionally, he/she will be required to make operational decisions to ensure daily operation is efficient and effectiveFast learner with a passion for continuous learning and expanding his/her technical skills is essentialStrong teamwork capability, be able to cooperate with colleagues from different background, department and levelsShowing potential or ideally some relevant experience in coaching others, e.g. leading best practice, acting as escalation point, sharing experience and informationRespects the process and company's practices while not afraid to challenge the status quoShowing potential or ideally some relevant experience in leading and managing a projectExcellent partnership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-evolving environmentStrong presentation and interpersonal skillsInnovative, passionate, initiative and adaptiveDepartment Product Development
