This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton and may involve occasional domestic travel to Anglesea & Geelong as well as international travel.Please note: You need to be an Australian citizen, or hold full Australian work rights, to apply for this role.Job Highlights;Be a part of life saving engineering for vehicle safety systems – help save lives.Work at a global leading innovation and technology company – potential for international travel and assignments.See, Touch, Feel, Drive and help Engineer the prototypes of future vehicle models years before public release.Exposure to stimulating technologies for different vehicle types including electric vehicles.Position responsibilities will include:Responsibility for the management of conventional and future braking systems and associated components by understanding and determining the project activities and needs.Supporting systems development for Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Booster/Master Cylinders and other vehicle motion or safety related functions & components.Planning, developing, and implementing the project strategy, processes, and procedures to ensure appropriate deployment.Providing leadership throughout the project to achieve goals, problem solve and improve workflow.Ensuring the project meets commercial and technical targets outlined in the Project Agreement.Monitoring and reporting project progress to meet key targets including expenditure and product costs.Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring a project time schedule, which accurately captures all tasks in line with customer requirements.Building and maintaining strong working relationships with global stakeholders across multiple regions.QualificationsWe are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work globally, manage diverse topics and priorities, and establish effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:Hold a Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Software Engineering or similar qualification.Experience in project management from pre-quotation through to launch and series production.A high level of organisational and time management skills.Able to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances and demands in a measured and constructive way.Exposure to the automotive industry or a large-scale manufacturing environment.Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.Proficient with Project Management systems (e.g. Microsoft Project, PMP).Other relevant attributes that would be highly desirable:Exposure to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customer work practices.Comprehensive understanding of APQP process, QS9000/TS16949 requirements and Project Management in an automotive environment.Additional InformationWe recognise that our employees are our greatest asset.
