PROJECT MANAGER   Our client is a global Renewable Energy leader, manufacturer of oil and lubricants for the automotive and industrial applications industries.   A rare opportunity has arisen for a PROJECT MANAGER to join the team based at their Brisbane Bulwer Terminal office – to provide critical support across multiple roles within our client’s terminal operations team. This role will focus on project managing and overseeing the expansion work conducted by the contractor on both terminal sites. The Project Manager will be the key contact point for our client and contractors project manager and directly reporting to commercial development manager based in Melbourne. Successful candidate must have strong reporting PM experience and can-do attitude as you will be working closely with client’s contract project delivery team and their wider operating business, asset owner and developer and supporting other teams, including projects, legal, infrastructure JV management, and supply teams. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Demonstrated comprehensive experience in managing delivery of major fuel infrastructure projects, Eg: AUD $50MDemonstrated knowledge of bulk fuels terminal facility asset design, construction, operation & maintenanceEffective communicator able to build strong working relationships with wide range of stakeholders and business partnersStrong performance bias with proactive approach to managing project delivery performance and risks managementMust be based on-site in BrisbaneDAILY DUTIES:Deliver functional excellence in project execution and management in accordance with clients and industry best practices, ensuring adherence to the major project policies and technical assurance processesAct as local representative to provide oversight and drive the contractors project delivery performance to ensure clients project objectives are met and aligned to the approved execution strategyAct as our client’s focal contact for the contractors Senior Project Manager to receive and transmit correspondence and requirements between the two entitiesMaintain constant oversight and engagements with the contractor’s delivery team to ensure all project scope, cost and schedule are delivered to plan, variations are managed to the required change procedures and project risks & opportunities are identified and appropriately managedFacilitate / participate in Weekly Project meetings to measure contractors’ delivery performance against baseline cost and schedule, where contractors’ delivery does not meet key performance metrics, intervene, and escalate as required to rectify the situationSupport the Business and Commercial Development Manager in the following monthly governance meetings:Steering Committee between Client & Contractor to formally discuss delivery performance of prior month and forward view on upcoming milestonesInternal clients Project Governance (x2) tailored to update project stakeholders in ST&S and C&P clients business entitiesEngage other internal business and functional tags as needed to deliver the above accountabilitiesAny other directions as required by the Business and Commercial Development ManagerInterpersonal Skills:Builds and maintains effective stakeholder relationships, supporting change adoption and fostering collaborationApplies strong communication and storytelling abilities to support project management teams and stakeholder engagementWhat We Offer in Return:Immediate start12 - month contract position that supports Global organization with Australian presence – possible extensionExcellent working conditionsWork with a high performing team supported across AustraliaBulwer Brisbane Terminal basedPromoter of work life balanceRewarding contract hourly rateOur client is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, proudly recruiting and hiring diverse workforce and committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.To Apply: The ideal candidates will be from a similar industry and may have worked as a PROJECT MANAGER or similar in their career.
