Role: Project ManagerLocation: Cornelia, GA – OnsiteDuration: 12 Months Contract - W2Job Description: Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing construction projects within regulated environments and must be familiar with pharma, biotech, or GMP facility standards. The role requires strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance guidelines while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop project plans outlining scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.Maintain detailed project schedules and ensure timely delivery of milestones.Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.Review and approve invoices, change orders, and financial documentation.Lead onsite teams, subcontractors, and supervisors while maintaining strong communication.Conduct regular site meetings, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards.Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, GMP requirements, and pharma facility standards.Conduct recurring inspections and address quality or compliance issues promptly.Work closely with clients, engineers, architects, and regulatory teams.Provide regular progress updates and manage stakeholder expectations.Negotiate and manage subcontractor and vendor contracts.Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and conflicts proactively.Ensure completion of inspections, validation documentation, and permits at project close-out.Conduct final project reviews and coordinate handover to the client or facility operations team.Required Skills & Qualifications (5 Points)5+ years of construction project management experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, GMP, or other highly regulated environments.Strong knowledge of FDA, GMP/GxP standards, cleanroom requirements, and compliance-driven construction processes.Proficiency in project planning, scheduling (MS Project/Primavera), budgeting, cost control, and managing subcontractors/vendors.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, utility systems, and support CQV (Commissioning, Qualification & Validation) activities.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
