Announcement: Project Manager Duty Station:  Germany Contract Type: Part-time (50-60% Project-based) Duration: 12 months, with possible extension based on performance and funding Application Deadline: 23.11.2025 Starting Date: 01.12.2025 About BadaelBadael e.V. is a rights-based organization founded in 2013, with a mission to foster  transformative justice as the foundation for genuine and sustainable peace in Syria, by supporting people-led movements, structures, narratives, and discourses that enable self-determination, equal rights, truth, and the reimagining of transformation. About the PositionThe Project Manager will lead the implementation of one of Badael’s projects. The role oversees planning, coordination, and reporting across project partners in Syria. The PM will ensure timely delivery of activities, compliance with the donor requirements, and strong collaboration among partners. The position requires proven experience in project management, excellent coordination and communication skills, and a solid understanding of youth empowerment and civic engagement in the Syrian context. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the overall management, coordination, and supervision of the project across all partners and locations in Syria.Ensure participatory planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in close coordination with Badael’s MEAL, and finance teams.Draft and submit narrative reports to donors, ensuring compliance with donors and Badael’s internal standards.Lead the coordination and collaboration between project partners, ensuring coherence, complementarity, and collective ownership of project goals and outcomes.Supervise the project budget in coordination with the Finance Officer, ensuring accountability and cost-efficiency.Ensure risk management, safeguarding, and “Do No Harm” principles are fully integrated in all project components.Represent Badael and the consortium in meetings with donors, partners, and other stakeholders, conveying the project’s collective vision. Support and accompany field teams, promoting an enabling environment for creativity, reflection, and learning. Lead monthly coordination meetings and contribute to strategic decisions related to project implementation. QualificationsUniversity degree in Political Science, Development Studies, Human Rights, or related field (master’s preferred).Minimum 5 years of project management experience in peacebuilding, governance, or civic engagement programs.Proven experience managing institutional donor-funded projects, including budget oversight and reporting.Strong understanding of the Syrian context, particularly youth engagement, civic participation, and social cohesion.Experience managing partnerships with local organizations and working in sensitive or transitional settings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.Strong leadership, coordination, and organizational skills.Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and transformative justice values.  How to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to send their CV and a short motivation letter (max. 1 page) in English to hr@badael.org  with the subject line: “Project Manager – YOUR NAME”Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
