Project Manager- Technology Hardware (Contract Position)Number of Positions: 1. Duration: 6 months initial contractLocation: North York, ON, CA.Must be eligible to work in CanadaHybrid position, 3-4d/month in the office, or vendor's locationRoles and responsibilities:The Project Manager oversees Hardware and Network projects for the client, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to plan, test, and execute initiatives. Responsibilities include aligning business and technical teams, tracking progress to meet deadlines, standards, and budgets, and ensuring clear communication. The ideal candidate excels at multitasking, works independently, and manages tasks, vendor escalations, and collaboration efficiently.Core CompetenciesProject Management experience (both Agile and Waterfall)Knowledge of hardware and software development lifecycle.Proficiency with program management tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet)Ability to conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.Emotional Intelligence Cues:Demonstrates patience and assertiveness when resolving resource conflictsActively listens to concerns from both technical and non-technical team membersMaintains composure under pressure or while fielding challenging questionsKey responsibilitiesDefine Project Scope:Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibilityMonitor project teams to ensure that they are moving successfully toward project delivery targets and features, which includes but are not limited to Risks, Issues, Blockers and Dashboard reporting. Development & Maintenance of project artifacts as required.Developed a detailed project plan and provide project status reporting - use Service Now/Jira/Smartsheet applicationsTrack and maintain project financials as it relates to the end to end project deliveryCreate and maintain project documentation and hardware roadmap for Store and Supply ChainResource ManagementLead diverse meetings by preparing content and clearly documenting actions, decisions, risks, and issues.Forecast resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient mannerIdentify, assess, and reduce risks throughout the project, keeping stakeholders informed to minimize exposure and meet project goals. Develop mitigation strategies, maintain clear records, and encourage risk awareness within the team.Stakeholder and Vendor Management and CommunicationBeing able to meticulously track multiple steps/tasks concurrently in project deployment phase with multiple TeamsNegotiate, create, and write statements of work (SOW) with hardware vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverablesMaintain relationships with vendors responsible for the client's hardware support and assist with vendor escalationsDrive roadmap and project alignment meetings (virtual and onsite) with internal and external teams. Collect feedback from appropriate partners (internal and external) during projects and communicate status updates, changes and impacts.Work with Technology and business teams to facilitate business readiness within the organization. Develop, socialize, and consistently measure change management plans to deliver the expected project benefits and adoptionDocument and present project status reports, roadmap changes and schedules, and business impacts with mitigation plans to Stakeholders, Management, and Executive teamsMust have skills/experience/qualifications:5-10yrs of experience as Project ManagerStrong Infrastructure, Hardware experienceHands-on experience in retail and POS systems, Pin pads, Cameras, and other in‑store or field hardware technologies. Strong stakeholder communication and cross‑functional coordination skillsAbility to manage complex rollouts, dependencies, and multiple workstreamsSolid delivery discipline in operational and technology-driven environmentsPMP certified
